Hope Starts Here Volunteer Registration

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Hope Starts Here. Please take a few minutes to read the volunteer details below and fill out this form completely. Once you’ve done that, we can sign you up as a registered volunteer for this event.

As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in the Hope Starts Here experience. You’ll support visitors as they journey through a series of interactive experiences and confront the daily realities of poverty. You'll be the first face of Compassion for these guests, and you'll play an important role in their sponsorship decision.

Volunteer Details:

1. Ages 14-15 must have permission from a Parent or Legal Guardian, and a Parent or Legal Guardian must be present and volunteering alongside them.
2. Ages 16-17 must have permission from a Parent or Legal Guardian, and can participate alone or with a group without a parent or legal guardian present.
3. If you are signing up a minor child as a guest volunteer, you must be the child’s parent or legal guardian. Guests (minor children, family, or friends) will receive an approval email asking them to complete the volunteer waiver, which is required to volunteer. Parents/legal guardians must complete a waiver for each minor child.
4. As a volunteer, you’ll take part in a range of activities, such as greeting and directing guests as they enter the experience, answering questions, and helping to set up iPads.
5. You'll be provided with a T-shirt to wear onsite. Feel free to wear nice jeans, pants or shorts (in good taste), and comfortable (preferably closed-toe) shoes.
6. Special training will be provided for event volunteers prior to the event, as well as onsite when you arrive.
7. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to walk through Hope Starts Here as part of your training.
8. Light snacks and drinks will be provided, but if your shift falls over a meal time, feel free to bring drinks/food as well.

Event Volunteer Sign Up:
Below are the instructions to sign up as a Compassion volunteer for Hope Starts Here.

1. Fill out the necessary form information, indicating the slot(s) you would like to sign up for.*
2. Submit form and await approval - This may take up to 48 hours - Additional details will be sent following approval.

*NOTE: If you are wanting to sign up for more than one shift time and/or day, please check the box beside each shift you would like to volunteer for.

Sign-ups received between Friday 4pm MST and Monday 8am MST will be processed and approved no later than Tuesday.
